Rules Of Engagement

Rules of Engagement

The Coach Tribe aspires to be a place of connection, collaboration and development where we can all show up just as we are without the need to perform or ‘fit in’.

As coaches we are sure we can all agree to this way of being together:

  • No selling

The Coach tribe is a place for collaborating and connecting, and we encourage you to support each other in your work. However, no one wants to be seen as a source of revenue, so we ask that no one use the site or the membership list to sell or promote their services.

Respect and welcome all
Let’s agree to treat each other with kindness, empathy and respect- regardless of background, identity or experience level, we are all still learning

Listen to Understand
We will be open to perspectives different to our own. We want to encourage critical thinking and shaping coaching generally so we will listen with curiosity rather than judgement

Encouragement not competition
The Coach Tribe is a supportive space where we celebrate each other’s triumphs rather than compete.

Confidentiality and safety
What happens in the Coach Tribe stays in the Coach Tribe. We want to be able to feel free to bring ‘our uglies’ to our conversations. Those things that don’t always show us in a good light; to do that, we need to feel that our vulnerabilities are safe with each other. So, we commit not to share what we hear from each other.

Personal responsibility for our behaviour
We wouldn’t expect to see outright hate, harm or harassment in a community of coaches, but we agree to take responsibility for how we behave and speak in our interactions with others and accept that we will call out for ourselves and others any potentially harmful behaviour.

We show up as learners
None of us has everything figured out, you are welcome as you are. The Coach Tribe is a place for us all to learn and grow so we welcome you and your beginners mind ready to challenge and be challenged to be the best coach you can be.

No selling
We assume that all coaches working professionally are appropriately trained, insured and follow an accepted Code of Ethics and encourage everyone to be in professional supervision. The team at the Coach Tribe are all accredited with The International Coach Federation and abide by its Code of Ethics.
